Starting from motion-sequences, their occurance and their torpidity visualized by altering already
existing objects (paper cup, steal locker, wooden stool), in his large-sized wall drawings and the
video works Tim Wolff shifts his interest towards intra-urban and social motion-sequences.
While in the case of the objects the moment of falling and torsion are captured and carried to
extremes, in the videos it is the exaggerated rapidness of images and sounds which challenges
the viewer. By connecting his skills as a visual artist, musician and dj and the observation of what
happens around for example on a demonstration, („Hier! / Here!“, 2005), a luxury shopping street
(„Alles bestens / It‘s all great“, 2006) or a building lot („Guten morgen / Good morning“, 2006),
Tim Wolff creates concentrated rhythmic potraits of the respective venues and the people acting
in them, whereas the sound of the street remains unaltered and gets into an willful form by means
of the filmcut.
